Pinnacle Montessori Of Fair Oaks

Infants Montessori of Fair Oaks

This beautifully designed classroom is thoughtfully prepared for infants who are not yet crawling or walking, as well as those who have progressed to crawling and taking their first steps. Pinnacle’s specially trained Montessori teachers care for infants ranging from 6 weeks to 12 months of age. The classroom is bright, peaceful, and filled with engaging activities throughout the day, providing your child with the love, attention, and learning you expect from an authentic Montessori environment.

Our Montessori teachers begin verbalizing with your child from the very beginning, naming the environment and the objects around them. Dr. Maria Montessori taught that children are in the developmental stage known as the Absorbent Mind, meaning your little one is taking in information from their surroundings at a rate that will never again be matched throughout the rest of their life. This stage continues until approximately six years of age and is the very reason babies naturally acquire their mother tongue without formal language lessons.

Throughout the day, infants participate in activities that encourage large motor development, color matching, shape matching, songs, finger plays, and story time. Just like the older toddlers, they are introduced to meaningful learning experiences, always at a developmentally appropriate level.

The younger infants who are not yet crawling or walking are held, comforted, and lovingly cared for throughout the day. At Pinnacle Montessori, we recognize that you have entrusted us with your greatest treasure. Feeding, diapering, repositioning, and napping are all provided according to each infant’s individual needs. Our caregivers spend plenty of face-to-face time interacting with every child throughout the day. As infants grow and develop new skills, they are introduced to walkers, jumpers, soft-play climbers, grasping and dropping toys, pushing toys, and age-appropriate gross motor activities and games. For safety, the classroom is divided into separate areas for walkers and non-walkers. Weather permitting, our Infant Montessori class also enjoys buggy rides outdoors or walks in our indoor gymnasium.

Our highly trained and experienced teachers understand the unique needs of infants and are dedicated to providing individualized care and attention. They create a warm and welcoming environment where every child feels safe, secure, and supported. By building trusting relationships with each infant, our teachers ensure every child feels loved, nurtured, and valued throughout the day.

In our Infants Montessori program, we follow the educational principles developed by Dr. Maria Montessori. We believe infants are naturally capable and eager learners who thrive in an environment that encourages exploration and discovery. Our classrooms are carefully designed with age-appropriate materials and equipment that promote independence, movement, and early learning while maintaining the highest standards of safety.

As part of our commitment to holistic development, we also emphasize building healthy relationships and early social skills. Infants have opportunities to interact with their peers and teachers in a supportive and respectful environment. They begin learning to take turns, share, and interact with others, laying the foundation for positive social relationships in the years ahead.

At Pinnacle Montessori of Fair Oaks, we understand that every child is unique, with their own strengths, interests, and developmental pace. Our Infants Montessori program values and respects those individual differences by providing personalized learning experiences based on each child’s needs and abilities.

We believe the earliest years are the foundation for lifelong learning. By fostering independence, curiosity, confidence, and a love of discovery, we help infants develop the skills and attitudes that support future success both in school and throughout life.
